AG Capital Management Partners, L.P.

Trading Strategies

The Discretionary Global Macro (DGM) program follows a multi-faceted trading and investing approach. AG Capital primarily trades directionally and on a relative value basis, both long and short. Their focus is on trading the major, more liquid, North American futures markets. Diversification into futures or options as alternative investments may include, but are not limited to, equity indices, interest rates, energies, metals, and agriculture markets. Trading initiated by AG Capital is centered around strategies ranging from short-term to long-term time horizons utilizing high liquidity instruments. DGM employs quantitative models and other analytical tools that are paramount to AG Capital’s trading ideology.

Alternative Investments

DGM utilizes both fundamental and technical analysis techniques. When using fundamental analysis, AG Capital considers interest rate trends, movement in the flow of funds, political changes, government policies, inter-government relations, and economic tendencies forming a framework from which trading decisions can be influenced. From a technical analysis standpoint, AG Capital studies historical market data and chart price patterns formulating a hypothesis for futures forecasting of alternative investments. These tools, used together, help in the development of sound trading decisions.

Risk Profile of Alternative Investments

AG Capital Investments strategies have been refined over the last decade. Average True Range Moving Average (ATRMA) is used to develop risk profiles and to calculate position limits for each account. Managed discretion and technical analysis dictate entry and exit points.
